About the role
About Fundfi
Fundfi is a fintech family of solutions built to get small businesses the capital they need. Through Fundfi Merchant Funding, Fundfi Financial Solutions, and Fundfi Canada, we provide revenue-based financing and loan products to small businesses across the U.S. and Canada.
The Role
As COO, you’ll own the day-to-day operations of Fundfi. You’ll partner closely with the co-founder CFO to translate strategy into execution, build the systems and teams that let us scale, and make sure every deal runs cleanly and profitably.
What You’ll Do
- Lead operations across underwriting, funding, servicing, and collections for all business lines
- Build and refine scalable processes, SLAs, and KPIs that improve speed-to-fund without compromising credit quality
- Strengthen our broker channel experience: onboarding, submission workflows, communication, and partner retention
- Partner with the CFO on portfolio performance, reporting, and the operational requirements of our credit facilities and capital partners
- Oversee compliance and risk operations across U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions, including state-level commercial financing disclosure requirements
- Drive technology and automation initiatives (CRM, LOS, servicing platforms, data and reporting)
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing operations team and a culture of accountability
- Support expansion into new products and markets with sound operational planning
What You Bring
10+ years of operations leadership, including 5+ in alternative lending, revenue-based financing, specialty finance, or fintech
Deep familiarity with small business credit: underwriting workflows, funding operations, servicing, and collections
Experience in broker- or ISO-driven origination models
- A track record of scaling operations through meaningful growth
- Comfort with data: you build dashboards, read portfolio performance, and make decisions from the numbers
- Working knowledge of commercial lending compliance; Canadian market experience is a plus
- Experience supporting institutional capital relationships (warehouse lines, credit facilities, investor reporting) preferred
- A builder’s mindset, steady judgment, and the ability to lead with both rigor and warmth
Why Fundfi
- A seat at the leadership table of a company in a real growth phase
- The chance to shape operations across three business lines and two countries
- A founder-led team that moves fast and values ownership
Fundfi is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and are committed to building an inclusive team.
