About the role

The employer is looking for an experienced Senior Underwriter with direct experience in the MCA and/or SMB Term Loan industry. This is a senior credit role for someone who understands alternative SMB finance, can move quickly, make independent decisions, and structure transactions while balancing growth, risk, and profitability.

What you'll do

Underwrite and structure new and renewal MCA and Term Loan transactions
Analyze bank statements, cash flow, credit, existing positions, payment history, and borrower capacity
Identify stacking, undisclosed debt, fraud, and deteriorating financial trends
Structure approval amount, term, pricing, payment frequency, and position
Handle larger and more complex transactions requiring senior credit judgment
Serve as an escalation point and mentor less-experienced underwriters
Work with Risk and Technology to improve credit policies and automated underwriting models

Nice to have

Minimum 3 years of direct MCA and/or SMB Term Loan underwriting experience
Strong understanding of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position financing

Strong bank-statement and cash-flow analysis skills

Experience underwriting in a high-volume alternative-finance environment
Strong independent credit judgment and decision-making ability
Candidates without direct MCA or SMB Term Loan underwriting experience will not be considered.
