About the role

Attention: The employer is aware that individuals posing as recruiters may be communicating with job seekers about supposed positions with the employer. The employer has received reports that the content and method of communication can vary, but messages may contain requests for payment (e.g., fees for equipment or training) and/or for sensitive financial information.
The employer will never ask a candidate for employment for payment or financial information during the initial application or interview process.
Are you a transformative product leader who thrives on building seamless, high-impact financial ecosystems?
At the employer, we understand that our work isn't done when a deal closes—it’s just beginning. We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Director of Product to lead the product vision and delivery for our post-funding experiences, encompassing treasury, payment strategies, customer service, and collections functions.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between strategic treasury management and thoughtful asset recovery. This is not a maintenance role; it is a high-visibility opportunity to pioneer digital transformation, integrate AI, and scale our operational capabilities in a highly competitive market.

What You’ll Do

  • Empower & Lead a Product Team: Manage and mentor a dedicated team of Product Owners, fostering an outcome-driven mindset and strong business acumen. You will guide them in building seamless product experiences, managing roadmaps, business case development, prioritization strategies and ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery alongside engineering, QA, and UX teams.
  • Drive Strategic Transformation: Partner closely with leaders across Product, Finance, Treasury, Accounting, Collections, Customer Service, and Legal to identify and introduce enhancements that fundamentally advance the employer's operational and financial capabilities.
  • End-to-End Product Ownership: Take full ownership of product initiatives—from feature definition, build-vs-buy assessments, and vendor integration to execution planning, change management, and post-launch optimization.
  • Navigate & Capitalize on Ambiguity: Champion continuous discovery to understand customer behavior, market trends, and emerging financial innovations. Translate complex, ambiguous business needs and technologies into a clear, prioritized product roadmap.
  • Deliver Measurable Value: Set the standard for success by defining and monitoring key product metrics. Gather user feedback, evaluate performance, and pivot strategies nimbly to maximize business value and user satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 7–10+ years of robust product management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership/people management role within Fintech, Payments, or Small Business (SMB) Lending.
  • People Leadership: Committed to people and team development. Mentor, coach and guide Product Owners in pursuit of individual and organizational goals. You empower team members to operate independently, but remain ready to roll-up your sleeves alongside the team when necessary.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of complex payment workflows, including orchestration, authorization, settlement, exception handling and controls. You have a working knowledge of payment rails and experience owning product requirements for payment infrastructure. Familiarity with cash/liquidity management and collections workflows.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong conceptual understanding of Event-Driven Architecture and API integrations and core processing rails (e.g., ACH, wire, card, instant payments)
  • Intellectual Agility: You don't need a perfectly drawn map to navigate. You excel at exercising sound business judgment, making principles-based trade-offs, and charting a strategic course through uncharted territory.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Proven ability to engage, influence, and align executive leaders, technical teams, and external partners around product direction and strategy.
  • Communication & Analytical Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills paired with a data-driven, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving. Business case fluency with the ability to structure and build business cases that quantify costs, benefits and risk tradeoffs.

What Will Make You Stand Out

  • Expertise in leveraging automation, AI, and digital transformation for process optimization in finance, treasury or collections.
  • Experience with complex system conversions, particularly migrating existing products and in-flight accounts to new operating systems.
  • Familiarity with financing securitization processes and collections technology.
  • Competitive Base Salary Range of $157,100-$252,000 annually. The employer provides this as a good faith salary range to comply with applicable law. The applicant's final salary will depend on a number of factors including the applicant's geographic location, skills, and experience.
  • Annual Incentive Compensation Eligibility - up to 15% annually
  • Health Insurance: Comprehensive medical, dental, and employer-paid vision plans through UnitedHealthcare (UHC), with various coverage levels available to meet the needs of our employees and their families. Additional perks through UHC include: Sweat Equity, free subscription to the Calm App, UHC rewards, Real Appeal, and Quit For Life.
  • Flexible Spending Account: Set aside pre-tax dollars from your paycheck to pay for qualified out-of-pocket medical, dental, vision, pharmacy or dependent care expenses.
  • Lifestyle Spending Account: Employer sponsored post-tax benefits that allow reimbursement for expenses related to physical, mental and financial well-being.
  • 100% Company Paid Insurances: The employer fully covers the cost of basic short-term and long-term disability insurance, as well as vision insurance, ensuring our employees have comprehensive protection without any personal expense.
  • Voluntary Insurance: Supplemental life insurance as well as enhanced short- and long-term disability coverage are available through Mutual of Omaha, providing additional security for our employees. Additionally, Colonial Accident and Hospitalization insurances are also available, offering further protection against unforeseen events.
  • Paid Maternity and Parental Leave: Beyond state-mandated leave policies, the employer provides company-paid maternity and parental leave, supporting our employees during important family milestones.
  • Commuter Benefits: We offer pre-tax benefits on parking and commuter expenses to cover travel to and from work.
  • LifeBalance Program: Enhance your lifestyle with our LifeBalance membership, which offers discounts on outdoor activities, the arts, health, and fitness. Additional benefits include:
  • Pet and car insurance discounts.
  • Financial services such as LegalShield.
  • Relaxation and stress management tools.
  • Plum Benefits Discount Program: Access exclusive discounts on shows, travel, car rentals, and more, enriching your personal and family life.
  • Tuition Reimbursement: Pursue further education with up to $5,000 annually in tuition reimbursement, plus opportunities to attend relevant conferences and career development events.
  • Travel Reimbursement: We also offer travel reimbursement for all work-related travel, supporting your involvement in career and personal development activities.
  • Paid Time Off and Sick Time.
  • Retirement Benefits: Our 401K plan is managed through Fidelity. To support your long-term financial goals, the company provides a 25% match on your contributions, up to 6% of your annual salary.
